How it all began

For many years I worked in a nursery and accompanied children through their day. In that time I noticed something that never let go of me: most of the toys offered to the children kept them busy, but rarely really encouraged them. Noisy toys, garish colours, too many functions. The children were distracted, but hardly challenged.

At the same time I saw how differently children blossom when they come into contact with calm, well thought out toys. When they are allowed to discover, try things out and understand for themselves. When the toy does not entertain them, but invites them.

Montessoriheld grew out of that conviction. Not as a grand business plan, but as a genuine mission: to make good toys accessible that follow Montessori education.

What we stand for

Every product follows the same idea: child-friendly materials and a clear Montessori purpose. What matters to us are toys that reflect the core idea of Montessori education: learning by doing. A toy does not have to be loud to be good.
